Kapok filling comes from sustainably grown & managed Kapok Trees in Java, Indonesia

• No pesticides
• No insecticides
• No irrigation
• Kapok trees can live for up to 300 years
• Harvested by hand, the seeds and fibres are stirred in a basket; the seeds fall to the bottom, leaving the fibres free
• The seeds may be processed to obtain oil for making soap, and the residue is used as fertiliser and cattle feed
