TRIBE brings you the most earth-friendly yoga mat on the planet! Made from 100% natural tree rubber and jute, with no glues or synthetic additives, this beauty will biodegrade back into the earth where she came from.

Ideal for those who want to say no to petrochemical yoga mats. The jute and rubber offer superb tactile grip and the mat stays flat as you practice.

This "long" version of the original Earth Me adds an extra 220mm in length to provide more surface area for the taller yogi to practice on.

When you first purchase an Earth Me mat the rubber smell will be a little obvious so air it outside away from direct sunlight for a few days when you are not using it. The smell will dissipate given time.

Don’t put your earth.me mat in a washing machine or submerge it in water.

Use Tribe eco.clean mat cleaner or make your own solution of 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water. Using a soft cloth, spot clean your mat as required and allow to dry naturally before storing.

Harsh chemicals and scrubbing brushes should not be used on this mat as it is 100% natural tree rubber. She is tough but sensitive - a lot like you!

Keep your earth.me away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. The back of a car or near a heater are not recommended.

EcoYoga mat 4mm, long

I replaced my original EcoYoga mat that I had had for many years. I should have paid more attention to the specs of this EcoYoga mat because my original was a light 4mm version with foam padding not rubber, like the new one. The surface is great, grippy, an improvement over my worn jute surface and the length, width and thickness are good for me. I'm not tall but I prefer the long mat. Unfortunately the rubber smell is taking quite a while to go - I've aired it under cover for days but it's still smelly, even from a few metres away. Given the price it would be good if these mats were cured of this problem before sale.

Thank you Barry for your review and good to know that the long version gives you the space you need for your practice, and of course the padding and grip it offers too.. For the rubber smell, this is because the Earth Me is a totally natural mat with no toxic chemicals used in its production - all natural rubber products will “smell” due to the organic compounds within the sap which react and release when exposed to air. As your mat is only 12 days old you do need to give it time for the smell to fade but it can be sped up by cleaning with our Eco Clean product or a solution of 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water (spray, leave for 10 minutes, wipe with clean damp cloth), and of course leaving it unrolled in an airy, shaded area.

Disappointed

Heavier yet thinner than I had anticipated from info on website. Pungent rubber smell off putting.

Hi Annabelle, we are sorry that you are 'disappointed' with your Earth Me 4mm Long - the thickness of the mat is 4mm as described and the dimensions & weight are shown on our website under the 'features' tab. As a natural rubber yoga mat & based on its dimensions it will be heavier than many mats but of course that is due to its material, likewise the 'rubber smell' as we do not use any chemical masking agents but with regular cleaning & airing this smell will dissipate. Hopefully none of this prevents you practicing, & thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback and we are sorry that the mat did not meet your expectations.
